WHAT ARE MY START-UP COSTS?
Augusta Coding & Transcription, Inc. provides the software for Precision Scribe Viewer (Transcribed documents database) accessible with secure User ID# and Password from any web accessible PC.

No long distance telephone charges. Toll free access to our in-house dictation system.

If you prefer to use the Hand-held, PC, or Speech Mike dictation equipment, you have the option of buying the equipment, programs and licenses or rent them from ACTI. Setup and technical support is provided by ACTI.

ARE CONTRACTS REQUIRED AND IS THERE A TRIAL PERIOD?
No contracts are required by the ACTI but are available if needed by facility. A trial period is encouraged by ACTI at client’s discretion.
WHAT IS THE TURNAROUND TIME?
24 hour turnaround – average is less than 12 hours.
36 hour turnaround – only if questions or additional information is needed from the client (usually less than 24 hours).
1-2 hour or less STAT or priorities.
48+ hours for a reduced cost to client.
HOW CUSTOMIZABLE IS YOUR SYSTEM?
We can incorporate most template designs you prefer into our PScribe System or design a specific template for you. We will use normals as requested.
HOW SECURE IS YOUR SYSTEM?
We utilize the highest levels of encryption for your dictation and the web-based interface that allows you to review your online documentation. PScribe uses 128-bit encryption for all its systems. Audit trails are in place and are fully trackable for JCAHO reviews. Confidentiality Agreements are signed by all MTs. Secure internet website with user access restricted to validated log-in ID, password and security levels.
HOW LONG ARE MY TRANSCRIBED DOCUMENTS MAINTAINED?
Indefinitely. You may access them at any time from any web-based PC via a secure internet connection.
HOW IS TRAINING FOR USE OF YOUR SYSTEM ACCOMPLISHED?
The dictation system is extremely user friendly and can be programmed to emulate your current office or hospital dictation system.
Physician “help cards” are provided by ACTI.
Administration staff can be trained in less than 15 minutes on the use of record retrieval. This can be done in person or over the telephone.
Hand-held demonstrations can be arranged at the client’s convenience.
HOW DO WE RETRIEVE OUR TRANSCRIBED DOCUMENTS?
Click on the PScribe Viewer Icon (installed in less than 10 minutes).
Inbox – All notes that need to be printed.

Archive – All notes transcribed that have been printed.
Enter search criteria, i.e, patient name and/or ID# and any date range and click SEARCH. You can also narrow search by using the physician or dictator ID#.
Documents can be retrieved 24/7 365 days per year.
HOW ARE THE TRANSCRIBED DOCUMENTS DELIVERED?
Via web-based PScribe Viewer data system from any PC anywhere at anytime – home or office.
Local printing and delivery available.
CAN I EDIT MY DICTATION AFTER BEING TRANSCRIBED?
Yes. Full edit, view and printing privileges are available according to security levels established by client’s request.
Audit trails are in place for JCAHO review.
ACTI staff is available to do editing as requested also.
HOW IS ACCURACY ASSURED?
ACTI prides itself on accuracy and effective client specific MT training. We review 100% of all new clients’ notes for accuracy until the assigned MTs become familiar with the format and nuances inherent in new client startup. When we are satisfied an MT has mastered the dictation, we still perform 75% reviews on a daily basis. Our MTs are assigned certain accounts to provide familiarity and consistency in transcription. Immediate feedback to MTs is a custom built feature of PScribe and is an excellent tool for MTs and ACTI alike.

Client specific word lists are provided to each MT for added accuracy. Web-based client specific information is provided to all MTs.
CAN YOU PROVIDE A LIST OF CLIENT REFERENCES?
Excellent client references are available upon request. Periodic client satisfaction surveys are conducted. Ongoing customer service is a hallmark of ACTI and is our #1 priority.
HOW SOON CAN OUR FACILITY BEGIN TO RECEIVE COMPLETED REPORTS FROM ACTI?
A very short lead time (usually within 1-2 days) for setting up customized templates may be required, but generally we can accommodate your needs immediately.
WHAT IF WE HAVE IN-HOUSE TRANSCRIPTIONISTS BUT ARE CONSIDERING OUTSOURCING? CAN YOU HIRE OUR IN-HOUSE MTS?
Yes, we will be happy to interview your MT's and provide subcontractor information and requirements. We have a standard of quality and experience that all of our MTs meet and consistently maintain.  We feel it is an advantage to hire your MTs already familiar with your dictation style. Most of these MTs look forward to continuing their careers while being able to take advantage of the flexibility of being a subcontractor and working from home.
WHAT EXPERIENCE DO YOUR MEDICAL TRANSCRIPTIONISTS HAVE?
Many of our transcriptionists are R.N.s with varied backgrounds. ALL are U.S. based and must have at least 5 years of acute care or ambulatory care transcription experience.  All transcriptionists are HIPAA certified.
HOW MUCH WILL YOUR SERVICE COST?
Our price for transcription is based on the AAMT standards of a 65 character line and not on what is known as gross lines or “visual line counts." The visual line count is any line on the page, including short signature lines, initials, dictated and transcribed dates, etc. This method of charging by line significantly increases your cost. Our charges are based on a set charge for each line containing 65 characters. Therefore, it may take up to 3-4 of those “visual lines” to make one of our 65 character lines. Our rates range from 11.5 cents per 65 character line to .15 cents per line and depends on volume, turnaroud time required, and subspecialty.

WHAT ARE ACTI’S BILLING TERMS?
We generally bill Net 15. We generally bill once per month between the 5th and 15th of each month.  If you need customized billing, we can accommodate you.

We can also customize the invoice to reflect cost per dictator or per site, if multiple sites exist. Many report options are available to our clients.
